SIALKOT: The concerned senior officials of the Gujranwala Electric Power Company (Gepco) have sent as many as 100 cases of the chronic defaulters to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) seeking the NAB’s help in early recovery of the prolonged pending outstanding arrears (amounting Rs.197 million) from these said 100 big defaulters.
The senior Gepco officials have confirmed the sending of the said 100 defaulters to NAB besides providing the complete information of these defaulters. The officials added that as many as 200 chronic defaulters were reluctant to pay their outstanding dues (worth millions of rupees) despite the repeated issuance of the recovery notices by the Gepco.
Out of which, the Gepco has sent as many as 100 cases to NAB seeking its help in recovery of their outstanding arrears , while the rest 100 cases would also be sent to NAB shortly, the Gepco officials added.
Meanwhile, Director General (Customer Services) Gepco Ch. Mohammad Manzur has also confirmed that 100 cases of big defaulters have been sent to NAB by Gepco, saying that the Gepco has formulated as many as 136 special surveillance teams to catch the electricity pilferers in Gujranwala Division as well.
He said that the Gepco was also making all out sincere efforts for ensuring the recovery of the Rs.197 million arrears from the other defaulters, in this regard…
