City (Police launches formal online data system)

SIALKOT: Police have launched the formal online data system at all the 114 police stations in Gujranwala Division for enhancing the capacity building and performance of the police officials there.

Additional IG Police/ Regional Police Officer Gujranwala Region Mohammad Tahir disclosed this while addressing an important meeting of the senior police officials held here Saturday. Sialkot DPO Rai Ejaz Ahmed, SDPOs and senior member Sialkot District Peace Committee Zafar Malik were also present on this occasion.

Additional IG Police/ Regional Police Officer Mohammad Tahir added that this online system has been introduced here first time since the establishment of Pakistan.

He added that the specially trained police officials are now successfully running this online computerized data entry system under a specially designed software by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) , which would be provide the online details to the people regarding the crimes at every police station level, details of the investigations of all the cases, recoveries of the stolen, looted luggage, gold ornaments, vehicles, cattle, kidnapped persons/women, arrest or non-arrest of the proclaimed offenders (POs), details about the pending cases and the numbers of the disposed off cases as well at every police station in Gujranwala Division’s all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.

Additional IG/Regional Police Officer Mohammad Tahir revealed that the police have completed the data entry registration of all the cases from January 01, 2016 to till now.

He said that this online computerized data entry system would also save the precious time of the police officials and even the public as well which would definitely increase the capacity building and performance of the police officials.
