CITY: (Sons of ex-Lal Masjid cleric arrested with weapons, military uniforms)September 22, 2015
ISLAMABAD: Rangers and police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested in a joint action two sons of the former Lal Masjid cleric Ghazi Abdul Rasheed, who was killed in a military operation in 2007.
The arrested men have been identified as Haroon and Haris Rasheed and weapons and military uniforms have allegedly been recovered from them.
According to Kohsar Police Station, Haroon and Haris had just left their residence when law enforcers stopped their vehicle and carried out a thorough checking, upon which they recovered weapons and military commando’s uniforms from them.
Both suspects were immediately taken to the Kohsar Police Station, where further investigation and interrogation was underway. According to initial reports, the two men informed the police that they used the commando uniforms for hunting and photography and that they were on their way to Rajanpur. Further interrogation was still underway.
