Peshawar: Expressing their grave concern over delaying tactics in up-gradation of the class-IV employees, they announced to stage a sit-in outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on 28 April 2015.
Speaking at a news conference here at Press Club on Monday, President All Pakistan Class-IV Employees’ Association of All Departments Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (APCEAAD-KP) Akbar Khan Mohmad, said that they had status of back bone in any government’s department and they were taken duty for twenty four hours.
The class-IV employees, he lamented that either duty of security guards, sweeping and cleanliness or other relevant duties were taken 24 hours, but when time came for privileges, all employees of the said category were treated a step-motherly behavior. “Employees of other cadre, are bestowed with all privileges, but class-IV employees are totally ignored,” he regretted and added that it was injustice with them.
Accompanied by employees from all departments, the president informed that they adopted every platform for up gradation, even Chief of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan they apprised him at his residence Bani Gala, but that too was in vain.
The PTI chief, he claimed that had issued directives to the PTI-led provincial government for their Scale Pay Up dragation, despite this, they were deprived of their rights and that was the reason that the employees from all department announced a peaceful protest for the sake of up gradation.
He informed, the sit-in would be placed at a large scale the employees for the first time, had united for their rights. Giving schedule of the protests, demonstrations across the province and then stay-in outside KP assembly, the president said that from April 06 to 11, 2015, the protest demos would be taken out of different districts are included Peshawar, Abbottabad, D I Khan, Lakki Marvat and Mardan, Mansehra and Upper Dir while from April 13 to 20th of the same month, employees of different districts Swat, Bannu, Haripure and Dir Lower, Buner and Battgram, Chitral and Maland and Nowshera.
He further informed that the class-IV employees would come from all districts of the province and hold gathering at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS-1) Peshawar city and after on 28th April and after it, all the employees in thousands, would move towards the provincial wherein staged a sit-in for indefinite period unless their demands were fulfilled.
