Class-IV warns to observe sit in front of CM house

Peshawar: Class-IV employees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Civil Secretariat Peshawar on Wednesday threatened that to obseve sit in before CM’s house and Imran’s residence at Bani Gala if the would not get promotions.

“We had much expectations from Pakistan Tehrek-e-Insaf (PTI) that the party would bring real change in the province but the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkwha has adopted step mother attitude and totally ignore us” Jabir Hussain, President All Class-IV Employees Association (ACEA) told a a press conference at Peshawar Press Club.

He said that despite the chief minister announcement regarding the employees’ up-gradation not tangible steps had been taken. “We have approximately 93000 class-IV employees across the province including Qasid, naib Qasid, chokedar, gardener, waiters and sweepers and serving important official duties but our salaries are next to nit and mouth to hand” he lamented.

Abdul Wahid, general secretary of the association demanded of the government to upgrade them immediately according to the class-IV employees’ charter of demands and implant son quota during their services.

“All the government employees from clerk to superintendent have been promoted to next scales but unfortunately class-IV has ignored which is injustice with us. We are appointed on scale one and retire in same grade” he expressed concerns.

“Our half salaries go into electricity and gas bills while due to day to day inflation the salaries is insufficient for a class-IV employee” he said and demanded of the PTI-led coalition government to approve the rationalization summary of the office on the basis of clerical staff.
