Peshawar: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has acknowledged that there was big demand of the hardworking labours of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in developed and gulf countries. However he regretted that lack of skills deprived them of jobs there the basic reason of which was the negligence of past regimes in this regard.
He deplored that previous rulers did not give heed to the proper education and training of valiant Pakhtun youth and instead handed them over bogus certificates that did not work to provide respectable them jobs in the market while their parents were also disappointed who spent all their hard earned money on education and training of their wards.
The Chief Minister made clear that this sorry state of affairs would be changed in future wherein a new autonomous body under Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) has been revitalized to take charge of all the technical and vocational training centers of the province and start classes from next month wherein the outgoing youth from these centers would get jobs for sure.
He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of KP TEVTA at CM House Peshawar that besides its chairman Engr. Nauman Wazir was largely attended by principals and teaching staff of its training and vocational centers. Pervez Khattak said that people specially the youth has voted PTI into power with great expectations to change the system while we would come up to their aspiration at all costs.
He said that we would produce such skilled and talented youth that besides abroad would be also acceptable to our local industries to promote and develop it on modern lines. He said that nobody would dare to give bogus training and bogus certificate to our youth in future as he said we have made legislation in all walks of life and evolved effective system of reward and punishment in our officialdom.
Chief Minister said that new classes of technical and vocational training would start from 1st September in the province with a spirit of change and innovation whose standard would speak its grandeur by itself.
He said that teachers and students of all the skill centers would also get orders of manufacturing on commercial basis that besides enhancing the training and experience of the students would also create means of income for them while these outgoing youngsters would become job givers and not job seekers in practical life.
He also asked the teaching staff of the vocational centers under the new administration of TEVTA to work hard and focus their attention on result oriented training of youth to enable them to get progress and prosperity with more speed than China and Japan.
He assured that if these teachers showed outstanding performance in the coming three months and the outgoing students got jobs in various public and private sectors then provincial govt besides giving them one step promotion as per their demand would also extend them other incentives with open heart.
He said that a new era of peace and industrialization was being ushered in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to realistic steps of PTI-led coalition govt and our youth had to take full benefits of such conducive environment.
