CM opens monsoon tree plantation

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said tree plantation campaign is meant to create awareness among the masses about environment and its economic benefit so that maximum people should plant tree to end environmental pollution and beauty of the area.

He expressed these views after planting a Pine Sapling at CM Secretariat here Tuesday to open monsoon tree plantation campaign.

Secretary Forest and Wildlife Khudai Rahim and Principal Secretary Mohammad Naseem Lehri were also present.

He aid to keep environment clean is responsibility of us all and planting maximum tree we can increase beauty of our cities and people can have clean and healthy atmosphere. He said trees are jewellery of soil and so people particularly youngsters and students should fully participate in this drive and make it successful.

Secretary Forests and Wild life Khudai Rahim said that during monsoon tree plantation campaign over 0.7 million sapling and trees would be planted in Quetta and other parts of the province.

He appealed to the people to take care of trees and sapling after planting them.
