CM opens repair of Sibi-Harnai section project

Balochistan is vision of Pak Army, provincial government, FC. A long standing demand of people is going to be fulfilled by opening project of restoration of Sibi-Harnai section Thursday.

This was stated by Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri while formally inaugurating repair of Sibi-Harnai section of Pakistan Railways here today.

Commander Southern Command Lt General Aamir Riaz, Provincial ministers Sardar Mustafa Tareen, Abdul Rahim Zairatwal, Dr Hamid Achakzai, Adviser Obedullah Babat, Chief Secretary, DS Pakistan railways Quetta, IG FC, IG Police, Chairman District Council, Chairman Municipal committee, Commissioner Sibi Division, DC Sibi and others were also present.

Nawab Zehri said he was thankful to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, COAS General Raheel Sharif, Railways Minister Khwaja Saad Rafiq, Commander southern Command, IG FC and provincial cabinet whose efforts led to inauguration of project for repair Sibi-Harnai Section of Pakistan Railway today which was closed for 10 years.

He said he was hopeful that NLC Officials would complete the work from six months to one year to start railway service on the section so that people have cheap travelling mean.

He said those who think by blowing railway bridges and damaging tracks and attacking forces would stop way fo Baluchistan’s progress and prosperity are mistaking. It is objective of Pak Army, Federal and provincial governments and it is development and prosperity of Balochistan.

He said we have achieved great successful in war against terrorism. Owing to successful strategy we have broken back of terrorists. So long there is one terrorist our war would continue.

Nawab Zehri said we are not weak due to challenge to law and order nor would be so.

He said we salute Pak Army, FC , Police, Levies for their sacrifices. When people would be in trouble we would be there he added.

Earlier Brigadier Mohammad Ahmed Alvi in a briefing on restoration of Sibi-Harnai railway track said that this track is133 Km long having 11 stations. Repair would take two years to complete. Survey for it has been completed. Twenty five bridges along the track were damaged due to terrorism and flood. These bridges would be built in new designs while railway stations would also be built afresh. He said as repair work would continue we would continue to restore rail service.

DS Railways Mohammad Haneef Gull also gave detailed about the track.

Later Nawab Sanaullah Zehri unveiled plaque of the project. Pigeons were released in air on the occasion.
