CM to review flood protective measures

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Tuesday proceeded for his two-day emergency visit of Larkana and Sukkur divisions to inspect flood protective measures personally which were being carried out by Sindh Irrigation department other linked departments and local administration of Sindh Government to meet out any eventuality of heavy and very heavy flood challenged in the province with success.

Chief Minister Sindh along with Secretary Irrigation and other higher officers visited River Indus bank yesterday and would visit Ulra Jagir embankment, Qadirpur embankment, K.K embankment, Tori embankment and would take briefing from Secretary Irrigation.

Chief Minister will also inspect Gudu and Sukkur Barrages and hold meetings with Irrigation and local administration authorities and took briefing on current flood flow situation and pre-cautionary measures, says a handout.
