Cold spell grips Quetta Valley

QUETTA: Cold spell has gripped Quetta Valley and adjoining areas for the last two days. It has brought minimum temperature down to 8 Celsius today.

It is added here that acceding to Meteorological Records first freeze occurs during October. There was hot weather two days back which suddenly turned cold. People took out warm clothes and woollies to ward off cold weather.

Cold and dusty winds blew across the valley during the day. Cold winds with a velocity of 4 to 20 knots blew form SE to SW direction. A Hazy weather also prevailed in the valley.

Meteorological office has predicted cold and dry weather during coming 24 hours.

Cold weather has also gripped Barkhan and adjoining areas. The area also received light rain.

In Panjgur dusty winds blew in the area badly affecting routine life. Cold weather also began.
