KARACHI: The fellows and members of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) on Tuesday showed serious concern over the move of group of people who want to destroy CPSP by tabling and passing a bill in provincial assembly for the establishment of Sindh CPSP.

A meeting of fellows and members of CPSP was held at CPSP office in Karachi in which the leaders said it had taken 52 years for CPSP to build an international reputation. The CPSP fellows and members are recognized and respected by sister colleges round the world and are serving in dozens of countries.

It was stated that fellows and members were looking after the health of nation and involved in teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates across Pakistan. Establishing a parallel CPSP Sindh or attempt of vested interest group to take over CPSP in the name of Sindh CPSP is condemned and not accepted at any cost, they said.

It was decided in the meeting that CPSP Council, FCPS and MCPS were extremely concerned at illegal activity and they reserved the right to take any action to save the integrity of CPSP. The council will take any and all steps to save the future of all FCPS and MCPS
