Convict dies in CMCH’ Under-Trial Prisoners Ward

LARKANA: A 70-year-old convict died in Under-Trial Prisoners Ward (UTP) of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) here on Tuesday.

Nawab Ali, son of Ghulam Hussain Mashori, resident of Khairpur Nathan Shah, was admitted to the UTP Ward on 08th June, 2015 for treatment of Chronic Liver Disease (CLD). He was also suffering from Hepatitis B. He was awarded 25-year-imprisonment in a murder case in 2007 and was in prison since last eight years.

His son, Ghulam Mohammad, is also in Central Prison, Larkana in the same case. Police sources further said that Sindh High Court Circuit Court, Larkana, granted him bail on Monday in the sum of Rs 50,000, but he was not released due to incomplete required documents. His body was handed over to the heirs after fulfilling legal requirements.
