Corruption: Six food inspectors sacked

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar, while taking action against corrupt officers of Food Department, has dismissed six food inspectors and 2 assistant food controller and their cases have been sent to NAB and Anti Corruption Department so that the misappropriated amount may be recovered from these terminated officers.

Beside this penalties have been imposed on two food inspectors. According to details after completion of departmental inquires food inspectors Mohammad Yousuf Arain, Shabbir Ahmed Malik , Nazar Ali Jakhrani, Rajhan Malik, Abdul Ghaffar Kalwar, Abdul Fateh Sarki, and AFC Aqil Jat have been dismissed from their services on account of corruption.

It is to mention here that these terminated officers misappropriated thousands wheat bags and caused loss of many crore rupees to Sindh Food Department. Provincial Minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar not only issued orders to dismiss these corrupt officers but their corruption cases have been referred to National Accountability Bureau Sindh and Anti-Corruption Department so that the looted amount may be recovered and deposited to Government exchequer. Beside this National Accountability Bureau Sindh has recovered Rs. 4 million voluntarily from Sukkur and Larkana Food Region.
