ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday suspended non-bailable arrest warrants issued against former president Pervaiz Musharraf in Abdur Rasheed Ghazi murder case whereas a hearing on a plea seeking complete exemption of the accused from court would be conducted on July 27.

Justice Amir Farooq heard the case during which, the plaintiff’s counsel pleaded to suspend non-bailable warrants and requested complete exemption of the accused from appearing in the court in the case.

The counsel told the court that Musharraf has been granted with permanent exemption in Akbar Bugti case. He said the report was earlier submitted to the trial court but no action was taken.

Meanwhile, the opposite side counsel requested the court not to grant exemption as Musharraf didn’t bother to appear in court even for once. Subsequently, the court adjourned the hearing till July 27 for further arguments.
