Court rejects Fraudsters’ bail pleasJune 15, 2015
KARACHI: An Anti Corruption Court on Tuesday rejected the bail plea of two accused, Head Constable Arshad and Riaz, for furnishing fake vehicle security for murder accused who later absconded.
The judge, Gulshan Ara Chandio heard the arguments on the bail pleas filed by counsel of accused. The public prosecutor, Mohammad Arif Sitai appeared on behalf of the state who opposed the bail plea. After hearing argument from both sides the judge rejected the bail pleas.
According to the prosecutor, there are allegations against the accused that they fraudulently furnished fake security of vehicle for murder accused Saeed Alam before the local court. According to the prosecutor, both the accused in collusion of each other furnished fake security of Toyota corolla car for the murder accused and that accused person absconded later.,
The case FIR 22/2015 was registered under sections 420 (Cheating and dishonestly Inducing delivery of property), 468 (Forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (Using as genuine a forged document), 161 (Public servant taking gratification other than legal remuneration in respect to an official act) and 34 (common intention) of Pakistan Penal Code.
