CPLC delegation calls on IGP

KARACHI: Citizens Police Liaison Committee’s (CPLC) two-member delegation headed by its chief Zubair Habib called on Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh AD Khuwaja at Central Police Office. At the meeting, two sides discussed law and order situation and matters of mutual interest. It was decided in the meeting to boost ties between police and CPLC.

Speaking on the occasion, IGP said ensuring people-friendly environment under community and police relations is the need of the hour. The community policing ideology could restore confidence among masses and bring an end to ‘Thana culture’..

He said that steps were afoot to resolve public problems, making registration process of FIRs easy, and ensuring police actions effective. The delegation assured strengthening ties with police and offered all possible cooperation for peace.
