Cricket match to pay tribute to APS martyrs

Karachi: An exhibition T-20 cricket match was played between Farhan Gymkhana Cricket Club and Azeempura Gymkhana Cricket Club in Malir to pay tribute to the martyres of Amy Public School Peshawar.

Farhan Gymkhana Cricket Club made 216 runs at the loss of four wickets. Khalid Latif made 50, Nasir Khan 65 and Hamza 43. Haseeb and Kashan took 2 wickers each.

In reply Azeempura Gymkhana Cricket Club could make just 170 runs. Afazal made 38, Kamran 41, Atiq Maqbool took 3 wickets, and Muneeb and Sharjeel two each.

Chief Guest text cricketer Khalid Latif said on the occasion that the exhibition match was played to show solidarity with the bereaved families of APS martyrs. Tarioq Khan, Rizwan Malik, Shamim Butt, Rao Asad, Tariq Rana, Saleem Arain, Akbar Awan, Raja Nasrullah and others were also present.

Later the chief guest gave the winners’ trophy to captain of Farhan Gymkhana Mohammad Riaz and runner up trophy to captain of Azeempura Gymkahana.
