CS chairs meeting of PDWP

Peshawar: A meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) was held under the Chairmanship of Dr. Hammad Owais Agha the Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday. The meeting was attended by its members and respective administrative Secretaries.

The forum considered 18 projects pertaining to Energy & Power, Higher Education, Sports, Environment, Local Government, Public Health Engineering and Communications & Works Departments for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 16 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 7338.102 million. 02 projects were deferred due to inadequate project designs.

The meeting also approved number of projects in various sectors including, in the Higher Education Sector approved projects were “Establishment of Khushal Khan Khattak University Karak”, “Establishment of Govt: Girls Degree College at Shabqadar Charsadda”.

In the Sports Sector approved project was “Construction of Sports Complex at Sub-Tehsil Rustam District Mardan”.

In the Forestry Sector approved project was “Development and Management of National Parks in KPK”.

In the Regional Development Sector approved projects were “Establishment of Emergency Rescue Services (Rescue 1122) in Nowshera”, “Establishment of Emergency Rescue Services (Rescue 1122) in Katlang & Rustam District Mardan”, “Enhancement of Emergency Rescue Services (Rescue 1122) in Peshawar and Mardan”, “Supply of Hand crafts”.

In the DWSS Sector approved projects were “Clearance of un-cleared cheques issued to government contractors”, “Solarization of existing Water Supply Schemes”.

Similarly, in the Buildings Sector approved projects were “F/S, Design for rehabilitation and Emergent Nature works in Governor’s House Peshawar and Governor’s House Nathiagali”, “F/S, Survey design and Supervision of Building for Tehsil Gagra in District Buner” and in the Roads Sector approved projects were “Improvement, Widening and Rehabilitation of Road from Bannu Kohat Road to Indus Highway via Garrison College/Dhoda Golf Club, Kohat (6 KM)”, “Dualization /Rehabilitation of road from Gulshan Abad Chowk to Jerma Bridge via Hangu Pattak (11.5 km), District Kohat”, “Construction of Swat Motorway (Land Acquisition)”.
