DC East chairs meeting over Muharram law, order

Karachi: Deputy Commissioner East, Asif Jan Siddiqui has directed to the concerned officers that load shedding should be minimised during month of Muharram and there should be no load shedding on 9th and 10th Muharram-ul-Haram.

Chairing a meeting to review arrangements being made in the DMC East for Muharram, he said consultations should be made to help betterment of services.

He said, DMC administration, police and all civic agencies as well as concerned departments will ensure absolute coordination in facilitating organizers as well as participants of processions.

Religious scholars and organizers on the occasion shared in details the arrangements needed during Muharram.

The meeting among others was also attended by Municipal commissioner East Nadir Khan and representatives of K-Electric, police, rangers, religious scholars, organizers, and so-forth.
