Death warrants of four convicts issuedMarch 31, 2015
SIALKOT: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Gujranwala has issued the death warrants of four convicts and has ordered their hanging on April 08, 2015(after a week) in famous case of lynching of Sialkot based two brothers. Expressing complete satisfaction over this verdict by the ATC, the grieved family of the Sialkot based two lynched brothers has demanded hanging of the said convicts publically not in any jail, in a bid to avert any further ghastly lynching incident in future in the country.
According to the details, the ATC has issued the death warrants of village Buttar-Sialkot based seven convicts Ali Raza, Sarfraz, Rashid, Ameen, Iqbal, Jamil alias Jeela and Shafiq in the above mentioned case , besides, ordering their hanging on April 08,2015 (after a week).
The convicts had killed Sialkot based two real young brothers Hafiz Mughees Sajjad (17 years old) and Muneeb Sajjad( 15 years old) in lynching by taking them a dacoits in Sialkot city’s congested Doburji Chowk on August 15, 2010 (about five years ago).
In Sialkot, the grieved family of the lynched brothers Hafiz Mughees Sajjad and Muneeb Sajjad has welcomed this verdict given by the Anti Terrorism Court (ATC). The family thanked God after this verdict and said that it was getting justice in this lynching case.
Khawaja Mohammad Sajjad, the father of the ill-fated lynched boys said that this verdict by ATC would provide justice to this grieved family. Fauzia Sajjad, the mother of the lynched brothers, said that the convict should go to the gallows because they had lynched her innocent sons by taking them as dacoits wrongly. Family expressed complete satisfaction over this ATC verdict.
Khawaja Mohammad Sajjad urged the court to order the publically hanging of these convicts instead of hanging them in any jail, saying that their publically hanging would be helpful to avert any further lynching incident in the country in future.
On the other hand, a mourning atmosphere was witnessed in village Buttar-Sialkot, after the ATC verdict. The convicts belonged to this village.
The grieved families of the above-mentioned convicts Ali Raza, Sarfraz, Rashid, Ameen, Iqbal, Jamil alias Jeela and Shafiq have announced to move to the Lahore High Court (LHC) and Supreme Court of Pakistan and to submit appeals against the today’s verdict given by the ATC regarding the issuance of the death warrants and ordering of their hanging on April 08, 2015.
They also announced to knock every door for seeking mercy and presidential pardon in a bid to save their beloved one from going to the gallows, in this case.
