Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Minerals Development, Ziaullah Afridi has said that Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf was struggling against rigging in the general elections and dishonesty since last two years.

The allegations on PTI regarding rigging in local bodies elections not only have been proved baseless, but the public have also rejected the protest movement of anti state elements.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, the Minister said that PTI was the only political party in Pakistan which does not have any rigging stigma, corruption and dishonesty since its existence but it has also been struggling to ensure free and fair elections as well as to promote real democratic values in the country. He further stated that it was the result of its peaceful struggle which made the public politically aware and it has also become a great challenge for selfish politicians.

Talking about the performance of the government, he said inspite of huge challenges; the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has gone on the way of change which has also given a sense of satisfaction the general masses. He also made it clear that due to sincere efforts of PTI the public has expressed their full confidence over it which was the most difficult for disgruntled politicians to digest it.
