DEMAN FOR NEW PROVINCES: Khushbakt Shujaat lashes PTI

KARACHI: In the wake of new provinces demand, Khushbakt Shujaat, Former Member National Assembly (MNA), while representing civil society, Defence Clifton Residents Committee (DCRC) and Council of Professionals (COP), condemned the PTI dual stance over creation of new provinces.

While addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club (KPC) on Friday, Shujaat condemned the statements issued by two senior members of Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI) over creation of new provinces in the country other than Sindh.

Quoting statements of Nadir Leghari, President PTI Sindh, and Arif Alvi, Senior Activist PTI Karachi, she expressed concerns over dual stance by PTI Sindh leadership.

She said that globally countries are progressing due to division of provinces on management basis and empowering locals, while the country is getting behind. She stressed the creation of new provinces for economic growth of the country and prosperity.

She accused PTI for its what she called anti-Muhajir and anti-Karachi policies and said that PTI was upholding feudal mentality. Moreover, she announced a protest against PTI statement at Teen Talwar, Clifton on Saturday at 3 p.m.
