NAUNDERO: Men, women and children held a protest demonstration holding Holy Quran on their heads against local MPA Mohammad Ali Bhutto near here on Tuesday.

They alleged that the MPA was forcing for return of land his cousins sold eight years ago. The villagers of Ali Ababad Pitafi village of Naundero police station limits including Mahnaz Khatoon, Shahzadi, Abdul Hameed, Hussain Bux, Bilawal, Sachal, Abdul Hakim Pitafi and others alleged that Khuda Bux Bhutto, cousin of MPA Mohammad Ali Bhutto, and his brothers Hyder Bhutto, Shahzado Salim Bhutto, their sister and mother jointly sold them 123 acres of land eight years ago for which they were paid an amount of Rs 12,600,000.

They said that they sold out all their houses, golden ornaments, cattle and other lands and now only two million rupees are outstanding which will be paid to them when the revenue record of rights is mutated in their names. They further said that they had constructed houses over the said land and are living there along with their families.

They further said that after election of Mohammad Ali Bhutto as MPA, they are constantly pressurizing us to vacate the land or else they will be implicated in false cases and the land will be forcibly occupied but we have been constantly refusing to hand over the land back to them because we have paid major portion of the total amount.

They said that Naundero police conducted searching raid over their houses on Tuesday and found nothing but took away eight persons out of which seven were released and one Wali Mohammad Pitafi is still in police custody without any case. They further alleged that SHO Mohammad Mangrio is pressurizing him that he will be fully fried if the land is not given back to former owners. They appealed to Chief Justices of Pakistan and Sindh to take notice of the highhandedness and provide justice.
