Dengue stays in December as 109 new cases reported Karachi

KARACHI: As many as 111 more dengue fever cases have been reported across the Sindh province in a week, out of which 109 detected from Karachi alone.

According to weekly report issued by Dengue Prevention & Control Program Sindh, a total 35, 25 dengue fever cases were reported from Sindh province from 1st January 2015 to till time, out of which 3,442 were detected from Karachi. Ten people died from dengue fever in the city this year so far.

From 30th November to 6th December 2015, 111 more dengue fever cases were emerged across the province, out of which 109 were reported from Karachi and two from Hyderabad.

Report stated out of total 3,525 dengue fever reported cases, 3,442 were reported from Karachi, 36 from Hyderabad, nine from Larkana, eight from Mirpurkhas, seven from Umerkot, five from Jamshoro, four from Shaheed Benazirabad, three each Thatta, Sukkur & Ghotki, two from Sanghar, one each from Shikarpur, Badin and Jacobabad.
