Diplomatic: (Pakistan, Brunei keen to enhance defence ties)

RAWALPINDI: High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Pakistan, Dato Mahmud Saidin called on Secretary Defence (r) Lieutenant General Mohammad Alam Khattak here on Thursday.

Both the officials showed keen interest in increasing defence cooperation between Pakistan and Brunei during the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary Defence said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Brunei.

He said Pakistan value forum of Pakistan-Brunei Joint Defence Working Committee which is useful in enhancing military and defence cooperation.

The High Commissioner appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in establishing and maintaining peace in the region. He said Pakistan remains a stronger partner in international community in its fight against terrorism.
