District: (Girls clinch all top three positions in SSC exam)

ABBOTTABAD: All the top three positions in Abbottabad Board’s Matriculation result were lifted by the girls as per result announced by Professor Jehanzeb Khan , controller of examination of BISE Abbottabad here on Wednesday.

Mahroosha Shahzad of Iqra Collegiate Mansehra with 1034 marks got first position, 2nd position was shared by Noor-ul-Ain Fatima of Dubai International School Mansehra and Aleena Khawaj of Pakistan International School Bher Kund Mansehra by securing 1027 marks each, Laiba Munib of PIS Bher Kund Mansehra with 1025 marks got third position.

Total 57,253 students appeared out of which 41,442 were declared pass with the total pass percentage of 72.38 %. Only 1,395 students could get A+ while 3,889 got A grade.

Top 20 positions were shared by 50 students, 29 girls and 21 boys and interestingly single student from government schools could not get any position among top 20 positions and all were bagged by private schools.

Among boys, Syed Touseef Shah of Dubai International School and College with 1024 marks got first position, Mohammad Hashim Sabir of Jinnah Jamia Public School and college Haripur with 1017 marks got 2nd position, Ahmed Hafeez of JJPS Haripur with 1014 marks got third position.

In humanities group overall top 3 females are : Laiba Ismail of Garnish public school Thakra Mansehra with 916 marks, Atika Shoaib of GPS Thakra Mansehra with 894 marks and Iqra Ziaqat of Govt. High School Surjal Abbottabad with 890 marks.

Among boys humanities group all private students got positions which are , Mohammad Zeb with 858 marks got first position, Mohammad Amin with 848 marks got 2nd and third position was jointly shared by Mohammad Shoukat and Usman Ali by securing 821 marks each.
