SIALKOT: The Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) resorted to unprovoked heavy shelling on Pakistani border villages in Merajkey, Harpal and Charwah Sectors of Sialkot Working Boundary here the whole of last night (the night between Sunday and Monday).
According to the senior officials of the Punjab Rangers, the Indian BSF continued unprovoked heavy shelling on Pakistani villagers in Merajkey, Harpal and Charwah Sectors of Sialkot Working Boundary here intermittently almost of whole of the last night.
Punjab Rangers’ officials added that the Indian BSF again targeted the civilian population in Sialkot border villages, besides, damaging houses of the local people and cattle sheds by shelling.
Indian BSF also fired several heavy mortar shells, some of them landed in the local fields and could not explode there. Indian shelling created panic and harassment among the local people.
The Punjab Rangers retaliated instantly and effectively in befitting manners, making the Indian guns silent, the Punjab Rangers’ officials added. No injury or loss of any life reported, the senior Punjab Rangers (PR) officials confirmed.
