District: Tree plantation drive starts in Sialkot district

Sialkot: A large number the boys and girls minor students of Rangers Public School Bajwat-Sialkot took part in the tree plantation drive near Head Marala . 19 Abbasia Head Marala Wing of the Chenab Rangers arranged a special tree-plantation ceremony was held at Head Marala near Sialkot. Senior journalists from Sialkot also attended the ceremony. Wing Commander Lt-Col Waqar Ahmed and Major Irfan Ahmed highlighted the importance of the tree plantation, terming it vital to ensure the provision of the pollution-free atmosphere to the coming generations.

On this occasion, Wing Commander Lt-Col Waqar Ahmed told the newsmen that “Rangers Environment Protection And Improvement Drive” (REPAID) in bordering villages along the Sialkot Working Boundary here was going on successfully with a sole aim to make collective efforts for protecting the environment and wild life, he added. He said that as many as 50,000 saplings have yet been planted by the Chenab Rangers in Sialkot bordering villages along the Sialkot Working Boundary.
