District: Zahid Hamid determines to more beautify Pasrur City

Sialkot: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid has pledged to leave no stone unturned for the uplift of his native Pasrur city, saying that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has released a special grant of Rs. 50 million for establishing the five KMs long protective dyke along the banks of the Naullah Dek from village Chahoor-Pasrur to Jastiwala, (Pasrur tehsil) here, o save the villages along the banks of Naullah Dek in both neighbouring Sialkot and Narowal districts from the recurring flood threats.

He stated this while talking to a delegation of local traders, which called on him here. President Markazi Anjuman Tajraan Pasrur Chaudhary Amjad Ali led the delegation.

He said that the project of establishing this protective dyke would be completed on emergency basis before the start of coming flood season to save the hundreds of the villages from the flood disasters caused due to flash floods in Naullah Dek, in this regard. The work of this project has been started, which has involved the district administrations of both Sialkot and Narowal districts, in this regard.

He said that the federal government has also allocated the special funds for establishing four new hostels at Sialkot Cadet College near Pasrur, as the Punjab government has also released special funds of Rs. 60 million for establishing new medical block at Pasrur THQ Hospital, Rs. 25 million  for rectification of urban sewerage clogged system in Pasrur city. He narrated that the Punjab government has released a special grant of Rs. 155 million for the uplift of the Pasrur, under a comprehensive plan for the development and beautification of Pasrur.
