Dow University launches ‘Online Application Tracking System’

KARACHI: The Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) on Monday launched Online Application Tracking System to facilitate alumni and graduates who require documents verification for education or employment overseas.

The launching ceremony was held in Arag Auditorium of Dow Medical College (DMC) Karachi. The aim of launching online application tracking system is to serve and facilitate graduate without moving them from one office to other for verification of their academic documents. The system will link with other departments across the campus and provide specialist and general advice, information and services.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Vice Chancellor, Dow University of Health Sciences, Prof Massod Hameed Khan said that this software was much needed due to increased number of Dow Graduates serving around the world. He hoped that the IT team and administrative authorities of DUHS will continue their efforts for providing online and paper free solutions of students and alumni needs.

He also advised the existing students and alumni to provide input for improving existing system. He appreciated the efforts of Prof Junaid Ashraf and his team for designing this system to facilitate alumni and graduates.

Principal Dow Medical College, Prof Junaid Ashraf explained the need for this system as alumni often feel difficulty in ascertaining of how their application will be dealt and at what stage their application is. This software has been developed by two staff members of DUHS Farhan Ahmed and Shahab Uddin.

In the end of ceremony, the Vice Chancellor awarded certificates of appreciation to both staff members.
