PANJGUR: Panjgur and Hoshab were deprived of electricity due to collapse of 132 kv towers between Turbat and Panjgur. According to details a tower of 132 kv transmission line collapsed near Heronk between Turbat and Panjgur. Due to this electricity supply to Hoshab and Panjgur was suspended. It has badly affected routine life and created acute shortage of water.

Thirty two years have passed to laying of this transmission line but due to non attention of QESCO, no proper look after and in the absence of patrolling some towers have become rusted and angled. People have also removed rods of some towers and these towers may collapse any time.

Three weeks ago two towers were partially collapsed near Balgtar which were repaired after a week.

People have demanded of government and QESCO Chief to start gas turbine power station keeping in view difficulties of people of the area and take immediate steps for repair of collapsed tower and transmission line.
