Evil designs of terrorists will mix into mud, Governor

Peshawar: The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan has said that the determination and commitment of the Pakistan Army jawans, police as well as other security forces in launching successful operations of Zarbe Azab, Khyber-I and Khyber-II, have forced the militants on the run and expressed the hope that all the evil designs of the terrorists would be mixed into mud and soon peace will be prevailed in the country in general and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA in particular.

This he said while visiting the Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC), Peshawar on Thursdaywhere he enquired about the health of the Deputy Commandant of Frontier Reserve Police (FRP) Malik Tariq and other policemen who were injured in a suicide bomb blast in Hayatabad area. The suicide bomber targeted vehicle of the deputy commandant when he was on his way to the FRP office.

The governor greatly commended the sacrifices of the Pak Army jawans, police and other security forces as well as the tribal people in the successful war against terrorism and stated that terrorists would be extirpated at all cost and their hideouts destroyed.

The governor met the injured officer of the FRP and asked the hospital administration about the nature of his injuries and medical cover. The governor also met the other injured policemen and directed the HMC authorities to utilize all means to save precious lives of the injured personnel.

The governor also handed over cash donation to the injured personnel of police. He also presented bouquets to the injured.

Later, talking to media the Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan condemned the suicide attack on the FRP deputy commandant and stated that the action was reaction of the successful operations against terrorists.

He said the law and order situation was coming to normal very rapidly and such type of incidents occur on the behest of the Indian militants where the enemies was supporting the terrorists in a bid to give bad name to Pakistan.

He said the sacrifices of the security forces would bear fruit and very soon peace would come to the region.
