FC troops’ parade held in Landikotal army garrison

LANDIKOTAL: : The 20th passing out parade of 250 recruits of Frontier Corps (FC) troops was held here inside the premises of forces’ cantonment of tehsil Landikotal here on Monday.

Brigadier Wajid Qayyum Paracha flanked by Commandant FC, Col.Tariq Hafeez as chief guest beside Political Agent Khyber Agency, Shahab Ali Shah, Assistant Political Agent (APA), Landikotal Mohammad Nasir Khan, forces officials, tribal elders, friends and family members of the passing out cadets participated in the simple but impressive ceremony.

The chief guest examined the parade and administered oath to the new recruits. Addressing on the occasion, the chief guest said, it is the primary duty of the new recruits to act as guardians of the honour of the tribesmen and establish peace in the area.

He said, militancy has been rooted out from Khyber Agency under Khyber one, two operations and any militant fiction will not be let resume their mal-practices in the tribal belt. Maximum area of Khyber has been cleared of the militants and soon peace will be restored in the rest of area, Brig Wajid vowed.

The chief guest also paid rich tribute to the martyred of the FC who laid their lives for the sake of the motherland. He congratulated the new cadets to be a part of FC and urged them to execute their duties with honesty and dedication. He also praised the trainers who trained the new cadets in the best way to serve in FC.

Awards were granted to the shining cadets and Mujahid Khan Shelmani was awarded honorary sward of IGFC as best cadet.
