Federal minister, VCs visit Talent Expo

KARACHI: Federal Minister Abdul Hakeem Baloch along with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Vice Chancellor Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) Prof Abdul Wahab, Vice Chancellor Federal Urdu University (FUUAST) Dr Zafar Iqbal on Wednesday inaugurated the two-day Talent Expo, organized by Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) at Karachi Expo Center.

Addressing the participants, the federal minister lauded the efforts of IJT for holding such an effective and meaningful event for exploring the real talent of youth.

“IJT has a prestige to provide appropriate platform to the youth of the country”, he added. The federal minister said that the youth of the country had ability and capability to face challenges.

Iqbal while speaking at the occasion, said that such type of programs play vital role to extract the real talent of the country, adding that IJT had a real credit for organizing such a beautiful Talent Expo.

Wahab said that the government should raise budgetary allocation of education sector. Only 2.5 per cent of the total budget was being allocated on education in the country, he remarked.

Chief guest Hafiz Naeem in his address said that IJT had changed the minds of thousands of youth and turned them towards healthy activities.

“IJT is a ray of hope for youth and it will take back the past glory of Islam and country through its utmost efforts in the sector of education”, he asserted.

Different exhibitions like debate competitions, poetry competitions and other programs were also held in the Talent Expo. A large number of students, youth and their parents participated in it.
