FIA arrest five in fake credit card case

KARACHI: Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Shahid Hayat claimed on Tuesday to have arrested a gang of five accused involved fake credit card making, and recovered weapons and credit cards making materials from their possession.

Shahid Hayat told media a press conference at his office, that FIA team raided in Karachi Development Authority (KDA) area and arrested five accused of fake credit card mafia

He said that five arrested accused including Naveed, Sheraz, Sehroz, Temoor and Farhan. They used to steal credit card numbers with the help of internet and make new fake credit cards. According to the initial report the accused were using the fake cards and made rupees one Crore 43 Lakh from them.

Shahid hayat said that accused made 100 fake credit cards of two major banks including an international bank. He said FIA team recovered prefab fake credit cards, credit cards making materials, laptop, printers and weapons from their possession. Further investigation was under way.

To a question Director FIA said that he had sent a letter to the Interior Minister regarding the handover of Uzair Baloch to Pakistan, adding Uzair Jan Baloch will soon be handed over to Sindh police.
