Fishers warned of rough sea conditions

Karachi: Regional Meteorological Center Karachi here Wednesday advised the fishermen to take precautionary measures due to rough sea conditions.

In a release it said under the active weather system over Balochistan & adjoining Northwestern parts of Arabian Sea, sea conditions will remain rough/very rough during next two to three days.

Fishermen are therefore advised to take precautionary measures during fishing and not to venture into deep sea.

However, the National Weather Forecasting Center said that a well marked low pressure area lies over southeastern part of Iran and its trough lies over upper parts of Balochistan. A shallow westerly wave is affecting upper parts of Balochistan and likely to persist till Friday. The same weather system will grip upper parts of the country on Friday and likely to persist till Monday.

For next 24 hours mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country However, scattered rain-thundershower is expected in Balochistan while isolated rain-thundershower in lower KP (Bannu & D.I Khan divisions),south Waziristan, south Punjab (Bahawalpur & D.G Khan divisions) and upper Sindh (Sukkur & Larkana divisions) during evening /night.

The weather outlook for next 48 hours said widespread rain-thundershower is expected in Balochistan. Isolated heavy thundershower at time very heavy falls expected in Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Makran, Sibbi and Naseerabad divisions, while Scattered rain-thundershower in lower KP (Bannu & D.I Khan divisions), south Punjab (Bahawalpur, Multan & D.G Khan divisions), FATA, upper Sindh (Sukkur & Larkana divisions).Isolated rain-thundershower in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha & Gujranwala divisions), upper KP (Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Hazara & Malakand divisions), lower Sindh (Karachi & Hyderabad divisions), and Kashmir.
