Five alleged gangsters killed in encounters

Karachi: Five alleged Lyari gangsters were killed in two different encounters here Sunday. Police and rangers sources said that law enforcers on a tip-off raided near Bhawan Shah shrine in Malir and killed four alleged Lyari gang war members belonging to Baba Ladila group. One of the killed gangsters was identified as Dr Shaoib. Three hand grenades and three pistols were recovered from their possession.

In another action in Rangi Wara area of Lyari one accused named Salman was killed in encounter. He reportedly belonged to Aziz Baloch gang.

Police and rangers also carried search operations in Sultananad Manghopir and Lyari areas and arrested many accused.
