Five killed in firing incidents

KARACHI: At least five people lost their lives in separate firing incidents and another one died in a road accident in last 24 hours across the city. According to rescue sources, the bullet riddled bodies of two unknown men, aged 30 to 35, were recovered from Surjani Town near Gulshan-e-Kaneez and shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an initial autopsy.

While two alleged militants of banned outfit were killed in a police encounter in Superhighway. Moreover, the identities of the deceased were yet to be disclosed.

In another incident, Hazrat, 27, son of Khurram died as the result of vehicle crash near Al Asif Square and shifted to Abbas Shaheed Hospital for necropsy.

Yet in another incident, Akbar Afridi, aged 24, son of Meer died of bullet injuries in residential apartment in Phase II, Khayaban-e-Mujahid, Defense Housing Authority area and shifted to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre for inspection of death causes.
