Five killed in separate accidents

KARACHI: Five people were killed and three others were injured in separate accidents in the city on Thursday.

Two young brothers, Zubair, 20, and Adeel, 22, sons of Saleem, residents of Star Gate area, received serious injures due to a road accident near Baloch Colony. Both of them were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for treatment, where Zubair succumbed to injuries.

An unidentified youth, aged 21, was killed when a train run over him near Murghi Khana in Quaidabad. The body was shifted to JPMC for postmortem examination.

Two labourers, Ajmal, 30, son of Raza Khan, and an unidentified man, aged 36, were fallen in a well during its cleaning near Pakora Chowk in Baldia Town No 9. Ajmal was killed while the other man was injured. They were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively.

An unidentified man, aged 35, was killed after accidently falling from a train near Ghaghar Phatak area. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico-legal formalities.

The body of an unidentified man, aged 40, was found near Junejo Jamaat Khana in 11/D area, New Karachi. He died due to excessive use of drugs. The body was shifted to mortuary.

An unidentified man, aged 35, was seriously injured due to bursting of a gas cylinder in Paracha Company, Shershah. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment.
