Five more fall prey to Karachi violence

KARACHI: Five people were killed and two others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Wednesday.

According to rescue sources, the strangulated body of a man was found from his home in B area of Liaquatabad. The victim was identified as Imran 30, son of Fazal. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, the rescue team said they also found another strangulated body of a man bearing bullet marks from Shah Waliullah area in Orangi Town. The victim was identified as a 24-year-old Sohail Nawaz, son of Sharif Nawaz. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Two unidentified men, aged about 35 and 40, were shot dead by unidentified armed men at Ghaghar Phatak near Super Highway. Both bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Meanwhile, a 24-year-old man, Mohammad Jamil, was shot dead by unknown armed men near Pakistan Bazaar in Orangi.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, a man, Fazal 25, suffered bullet injury in firing by unidentified armed men on Suparco Road in Baldia Town. He was rushed to Civil Hospital for treatment.

An unidentified girl, aged about eigh-year, suffered bullet injury when bandits opened fire on a shopkeeper during a robbery near Jubilee Market. She was rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
