Karachi: Social activist and founder of Fix it campaign Aalamgir Khan has announced to make Karachi a greener city by launching a tree plantation drive in the city.

Addressing a press conference at his residence he said Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah did not fulfil his promise to cover the open manholes of Karachi. He said a large number of gutters in the city need covers, which shows that the government is not serious in resolving the civic issues of Karachi.

He said the political parties of Karachi should compete with one another in making the city clean and tidy and resolving plethora of civic problems facing by it.

He said the Fix it campaign would plant saplings in different areas of the city and also play its due role in help to control the messy traffic of the mega city.

He said the Fix it campaign is being institutionalized and soon its formal office would be opened to better serve the Karachiites.
