Foundation stone of Rs1130mn project laid

Larkana: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader MNA Faryal Talpur laid the foundation stone of major project of enhancing & upgrading of drainage system of Larkana in police line here on Wednesday costing Rs:1130.50 million which will be completed on 30th June 2016.

This project has already been started on December 15, 2014 under the supervision of Larkana Commissioner Dr. saeed Mangnejo who has also been appointed as its project director, said a handout issued by the information department here.

Many areas of this city remained filled with sewerage drain water and people had to resort to protest demonstrations as the sewerage lines were not regularly cleared by the concerned sanitation staff.

While addressing the gathering at Shahnawaz Bhutto library Talpur said that within next two months no overflowing sewerage water will be visible on Larkana roads.

During the arrival of the MNA, all nearby roads were sealed due to which patients who had to reach to CMC Hospital faced immense problems.

According to reliable sources 20-years-old Majeedan wife of Jameel Saryo, resident of village Bakhsho Saryo, near Sijawal Junejo, died before reaching the hospital due to the road blockade. She was first taken to Miro Khan Hospital but duty doctors referred her to Casualty of CMCH Larkana.

She was suffering from the chest pain, her husband Jameel told reporters. They had married over two years ago and had a minor baby, said Jameel, who is a labourer and earning livelihood by running a donkey cart.
