Four fall prey to city violence

KARACHI: Four people were killed in separate incidents of violence in the city on Monday. Four dacoits entered a house with intention of robbery but on the quick response by the neighbours, police cordoned off the area, where the accused opened fire on police. On retaliatory fire by police, two accused aged about 25 to 30 were killed. However, two of their accomplices managed to flee under cover of firing.

The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy. The identities of the accused could not be ascertained.

In another incident, an unknown man, 30, was gunned down by some miscreants in Korangi Crystal Town. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy.

Separately, Shahid, 37, was shot dead in Orangi area No 5 by unidentified persons. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
