Four killed in mishaps

KARACHI: Four people, including a young boy, were killed and three others injured in different incidents in the metropolis on Thursday.

Two youth, Inayatullah, 25, son of Abdul Majeed, and Naimat, 20, son of Agha Jan, were killed when a speeding Mazda truck collided with a Suzuki van near Erum Bakery in Liaquatabad No. 4. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for autopsies.

A 10-year-old boy was killed when a speeding vehicle hit him in Mosimiat area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

A youth, Shehzad, 21, committed suicide by strangulating himself at sector 50-E in Taiser Town. The body was shifted to ASH for a postmortem.

In another road mishap, two women and a child, identified as, Saira Kashif, 32, Firdaus Raees, 35, and three-year-old boy, Ali Ayan, son of Raees, were injured when they were hit by a speeding vehicle near Wireless Gate on Shahrah-e-Faisal. They were brought to JPMC for treatment.
