Four teachers’ salaries stoppedNovember 16, 2015
LARKANA: Monthly pay of four senior lady teachers, which include two High School Teachers (HSTs) and two Junior School Teachers (JSTs), has been stopped by the education department for unknown reasons despite the fact that one HST was appointed in 1988 and others in 90s.
All these lady teachers are working at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Larkana. They include Ghulam Aysha Hulio and Azra Abbasi, both HSTs, and Kausar Perveen Soomro and Sumera Qureshi, both JSTs. They told PPI that their biometric verification has already been carried out and they have submitted their original and photocopies of all their educational and service documents to the concerned department but still their monthly pay has been stopped from October 2015 which is unjustified act.
They further said that the education clerks had told them that they are drawing monthly salary over and above the amount for which they relied that their pay was fixed by District Accounts Officer, Larkana, which is also shown in their service books, hence, they cannot be blamed. They further said that we are being punished for no fault, which is unbecoming of senior bosses. They demanded payment of salaries forthwith.
