Goods transporter warns for wheel jam strike

Peshawar: All Sarhad Goods Transport and Mini Bus and Shehzor Association have warned the government to launch wheel jam strike if it did not withdraw decision of increasing taxes on Passing fee and Rout permit tax.

Speaking at a news conference at Press Club on Monday, the chairman Goods Transport Association, Noor Mohammad, president, Liaqat Ali Khan, general secretary, Razaullah, vice president, Syed Jamal Afridi and others rejected the 100 percent increase in the passing fee and routs permit tax.

They said the increase made by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government was much more than those of the other provinces. They said that the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had announced to reduce tax and rout permit tax by five percent but the secretary transport trampled the directives of the chief executive of the province. They warned to launch movement if their genuine demands were not accepted.
