Government hospital occupied in Malir

KARACHI: A 25-beded provincial government-run hospital situated in C Area of Kala Board Malir Town was been occupied by the Building Department, PPI learnt on Saturday.

An official of hospital on condition of anonymity said 25-beded hospital was established in C Area of Kala Board Malir Town in 2005 which had not been functioning for few years. He said about a month ago the health department Sindh has started renovation work to re-open the hospital but the provincial building department officials have forcefully occupied hospital building.

Malir Town Health Officer Dr Masood Solangi when contacted confirmed that 25-beded hospital situated in C Area of Kalaboard was occupied by Building Department a week ago. He said the hospital was scheduled to function soon.

He said a letter has been forwarded to Commissioner Karachi, Deputy Commissioner Malir, Health Secretary and other authorities concerned to retrieve hospital from Building Department for resumption of medical activities in it.
