Government is going to reform the Education Sector in the Province, Atif Khan

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education, Atif Khan has said that the government of KPK “ is going all out to reform the Education Sector in the Province which is the most critical area”.

This he stated while taking complaints in the Chief Minister Complaint Cell from general public today. He spent busy hours in the complaint Cell, took complaints of general public related to public sector Institutions throughout the Province. The complaints mostly related to Education, Health , Revenue , Implementation on the government newly announced salary package in private sector and other social sectors.

He said that though education is to be a state concern, state controlled and state regulated but his government added to these approaches new concepts as “it education” will also be a state supported and state facilitated sector so that we can make our coming generation truly educated who can contribute to productive sectors of the country and could lead the nation towards prosperity and progress.

The Minister said that the KP Government set up independent monitoring teams to be manned by Seven hundred Inspectors to take care of Twenty Eight thousands schools throughout the Province that has brought visible improvement in the education sector.

Under the Tameer school initiative, Eight hundred schools have been identified and massive enrolment campaign carried out. It introduced cluster school system backed by uniform curriculum and free text books to students, he went on saying.

He said his government has already evolved a cheating free SSC examination system and merit based teaching recruitment and training formula. The government has already made a sharp increase in budgetary provision he added.

Eight Thousand teachers have already been recruited and three lacks children were attracted for enrolment into the schools. He hoped that his government would continue to take education as “the inborn right of the people” Atif maintained.

On various complaints he passed on orders to quarter concerned to resolve these complaints as early as possible. During his visit to the Chief Minister Complaint Cell, Mr. Atif was briefed about the complaint gathering and grievance redressal system.
