QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai has directed National Highways Authority (NHA) has said Airport Road expansion project should be completed at the earliest and concerned departments should be taken into confidence for the installation of telephone, gas and electricity lines.

He said this at his meeting with General Manager NHA Noorul Hassan Mandokhel here Tuesday.

Military Estate officer and representatives of QESCO, PTCL were also present.

Governor said that flow of traffic should be ensured during construction this highway in Quetta so that people are saved from difficulties. He said development and construction of highways in Balochistan should be further reactivated and all the complaints of the people should be redressed.

He said work on Kalat-Chaman section should be speeded up so that people benefit from this.

GM NHA told Governor that work on expansion of airport road was underway and six lanes would be built. He said during the expansion of the road lands and their fertility is being kept in view on both sides.

Representatives of various departments expressed their apprehensions. Governor directed NHA that their reservations should be removed.
