Govt urged to end target killing, extortionAugust 23, 2014
KARACHI: Karachi Transport Action Committee President Ashraf Banglori has demanded of Sindh government to end target killings and extortion in Karachi.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Banglori said that the business community was receiving extortion calls on daily basis and the police had failed to arrest those involved in such activities. “Even Rangers in the city has not curbed the extortion calls,” he said.
He demanded of Sindh government to take effective steps to end miseries of business community, who had to pay a hefty amount to extortionists,” he said adding that on non-payment, the extortionists were targeting and attacking business community.
